The stillness of the evenin'

deafiningly shouts outloud

sueing for a peaceful interlude

before the dawn blushes the horizon

For Icannot stop the night

nor deny the fact I can no longer fight

My body frays

My spirit fades

Ay,

Hail Mr. Edison

thanks for the neon

that makes the moon

seem like a dim lantern

But can you light up

the wrecked soul tied up

inside the blackening hole

Once I called conscience?
